Use a New Technique

It is time for a new challenge at The Crafter's Cafe.  We have some great sponsors for the challenge too.

Our theme for this challenge is Use a New Technique.  For my technique I have chose the Glue Distress Technique.  I have never used this before, but I thought it turned out pretty good. It is really very simple.  Just put glue dots on your cardstock and then smear them with your finger.  Let this dry completely.  Then I used 3 different colors of distress ink to cover my cardstock.  The glue makes an ink resist as you can see below.  Then I trimmed it and matted it for my card.

I have used a cute image from The East Wind.  This is Helena.

Card Recipe/Supplies:
Cardstock - Cardstock is SU So Saffron and Emerald Envy.
Sentiment - SU Just Saying set
Distress Ink - Scattered Straw, Pine Needles, Broken Glass
Die Cuts - SB Circle and Large Scallop Circle; SU Word Bubbles Framelits; La La Land Leaf Flourish
Embossing Folder - We R Memory Keepers Flowers
